Révision : les nombres

Between Chapter 14 and Chapter 15 of French Made Simple, there is a review section covering chapters 10 to 14. We completed the book with a few other exercices, mostly about numbers.

This is an easy listening exercice to review numbers and hours. Click on the sound file to listen to a short dialogue between a customer and an employee at the train station's ticket window, then answer the questions by using the information on the right of the screen.

This is another exercice about numbers and prices. Listen to each sound bite and complete the chart, using the information at the top of the screen. For each line, you need to indicate what fruit or veggie is sold, what is the price and what is the quantity for that price.

Answering the phone is one of the hardest things to do in a foreign language. Understanding a phone message is slightly easier because you can hit the repeat button, so don't hesitate to do so with this exercice! Listen to the message a few times (click on the second sound icon on the page, next to "Bonjour...") and answer the questions on the page.

This short audio text, found at Podcast Français Facile, is a good general review of numbers, prices and hours. The accompanying video on the page gives detailed explanations about the text.
In the class handout, I slightly modified PFF's original document by blanking out all the numbers in the text.

We didn't do this last listening exercice in class but you may be interested in doing it on your own. It comes from a Canadian University so it's a great way to tune your ear to a different French accent.
